Committee member - Khanh Duc Khanh Duc works at the University of Kent
at Canterbury, having recently moved to the UK after 9 years in Germany. She used
to teach English (as a Foreign Language) but has always had a keen interest in
ESOL-related issues having been brought up in a country where English is a not
a foreign language but rather, a second language. Khanh Duc's main hope for ESOL
is that it will receive the same kind of interest that EFL has received and that
teachers working in ESOL get the recognition and support that they should be getting.
